Entry #5: Mayhem

      I will be reviewing the Allstate tailgate ad. The ad is trying to get the audience to relate to its message as we have all experienced tailgaters. The target audience is car owners who are looking for insurance or already have insurance. In the video, a man is explaining how drivers sometimes focus on people who are tailgating them and don't focus on the road, which leads to accidents.

   He gives an example by tailgating a man who then gets distracted and crashes into another car. The ad is trying to promote Allstate car insurance as we can't always be sure what happens while we are on the road. The narrators tone is sassy and he uses good diction. Overall, the ad is very simple and it sends a clear message.
