Entry #4: Destress

As a college student, stress is a part of your lifestyle. Especially if you are working AND schooling.

It is important to destress by relaxing and taking your mind off the tension you are going through. My method of dealing with stress is to play my favorite game. Although I hardly have the time for it these days.
Everyone had different ways of dealing with stress; reading, sewing, watching movies, and talking with friends are some of the ways people deal with stress. It is important to deal with stress before it gets too much as it can negatively affect our physical and mental health. It has been found that Chronic stress can shrink the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for memory and learning, and hence, will make it difficult to focus on the tasks we need to do.

So next time you feel like you don't understand the task you are performing or you feel that you don't understand what you are studying, take a little break if you can and you will certainly feel the difference in your productivity.

  1. Hello Vi, I really enjoyed reading this blog entry and the benefits that just taking a little break from something can really help out. I really enjoyed the picture you inserted as well and the meaning they each had.
